Canfield Bikes NZ was born out of my love of mountain biking both as a rider and as a trail builder which in both cases allowed you to enjoy the great outdoors, fresh air and sunshine. From there I decided that I loved trail building and creating tracks that would push both the bike and the rider therefore I needed to immerse myself in the mountain biking scene. How do you do this? find a quality bike and products that reflected my values riiight? should be easy? Well there are so many production bikes that state the “highest quality” on the market but when you really examine them there is a real lack of quality and service behind these products.
What attracted me to the Canfield Brothers and their products was the fact that you had two brothers (Chris and Lance) whom are both riders and competitors in their own right, therefore they understand riding a bike and pushing it to its limits both in a downhill and free-ride scenario. Better yet, these guys design and build some of the best downhill, free-ride and all-mountain bikes on the market and, because Chris and Lance are always looking at the bike and suspension performance from the riders point view and how to acquire the best performance and handling for the rider as well as being the test pilots for Canfield Bikes, so they have to get it right!
This phase best sums up the Canfield Brothers, "Our frames are pushing the boundaries of what's possible in full-suspension bikes, ride one and you will feel how different they are". For me, it was an easy choice from there, now Canfield Brothers frames are here in the Aotearoa "Land of the Long White Cloud" (New Zealand).
